Established in 1987, the Exhibitions India Group (EIG) has emerged as a pioneering force in the world of trade promotion in India.

With close to four decades of experience, EIG has consistently played a vital role in bridging the gap between diverse sectors, including government bodies, industry leaders, media organizations, academic institutions, and civil society. The Group serves as a dynamic interface, fostering collaboration and dialogue across these domains to drive innovation, economic growth, and sustainable development.

EIG has organised over 100 international trade shows since inception, including some of the longest running and most impactful exhibitions in India. We are also the world’s largest international trade show representative, taking India to world via the leading trade shows from around the globe. Finally, we excel in stand design and construction, as well as produce one of India’s most reputed automotive media titles in the country.

Prem Behl

Late Chairman & Founder

Our late Chairman, Prem Behl, was a true pioneer of the exhibitions industry in India. At a time when global trade fairs were virtually unknown in the country, he recognized their potential as engines of economic growth, innovation, and international collaboration. Driven by his conviction that India needed a world-class platform to engage with the global marketplace, he founded Exhibitions India in 1987.

Under his leadership, Exhibitions India became the first private company to be granted a license to host a B2B exhibition in India, marking the birth of the organized exhibitions sector in the country. His foresight and determination laid the groundwork for India’s integration into the global trade fair circuit. Through his relentless pursuit of excellence, he not only built a successful enterprise but also helped shape the very industry he helped start.

Today, his vision lives on in EIG’s commitment to creating platforms that promote trade, foster innovation, and connect communities - carrying forward the legacy of a man who put India on the exhibitions’ world map.
